Our Mission: Nurturing the Next Generation of Scientists
The Student Journal of Science Discovery (SJSD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to serving as an incubator for young scientific talent, such as junior/ high school or undergraduate and graduate students. Our mission is to provide a platform that nurtures aspiring young scientists, transforming their curiosity into rigorous inquiry and showcasing their first discoveries to the world.

We believe that every great scientific journey begins with a simple "why?" SJSD exists to support the young minds brave enough to ask it.

Editor team

Pei-Chuan Li, Ph.D., is the Editor-in-Chief of The Student Journal of Science Discovery, where they lead editorial direction and peer-review operations for an emerging open-access journal. They are responsible for establishing manuscript handling procedures and ethical guidelines, collaborating with an international editorial board to maintain scientific rigor for a publication dedicated to student and early-career research. Previously, Li held research positions at the University of Southern California (USC) and the City of Hope, building a foundation in their areas of editorial expertise: Molecular Biology & Genetics, Gene Editing & CRISPR Systems, Immuno-Oncology, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Biomedical Innovation.-Chuan Li, Ph.D., is the Editor-in-Chief of The Student Journal of Science Discovery, where they lead editorial direction and peer-review operations for an emerging open-tion.
